What To Expect

Mandraki Harbour
Mandraki is one of the three harbours in Rhodes. It is famous, because it is believed that the great statue of Colossus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood at the harbour entrance. Today the deer sculptures at the entrance, the St. Nicholas Fortress and a number of medieval windmills create a charming view of the harbour.

Lindos
Lindos is one of the most impressive archaeological sites not only in Greece but also in the world. It has traces of different civilizations. Ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine traditions blend here with the Medieval heritage of knights of the Order of Saint John. The visit to Lindos is like time travel via centuries and civilizations! If you go there, you will be delighted not only by the history but also by divine beauty. Take your time strolling lovely narrow streets of the village abundantly decorated with flowers, fruit trees, oriental tiles and small fountains. You will be impressed by incredible view of the harbours. The Acropolis of Lindos is on top of 116m cliff. For the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Knights of St John and Turks it was a wonderful strategic position. You can walk up the stairs and visit it or explore the village and its cosy bays.

Visit the traditional Greek ceramic factory and see how a piece of clay turns into a piece of art. First the father and the son make pottery, then the mother paints it. The family of hard working owners will invite you into their store to present a great variety of olive oil and honey of their own production. Enjoy free tasting of the best local products.

Theologos
Wine tasting one of the best ways to really explore Greece in general and Rhodes in particular. Doing that through wines gets really interesting as you’re introduced to the local grape varieties that give local wines their unique colour and flavour. Wine is just as much a part of Greek culture as the temples of ancient Greece. Just take a look at all those statues of Dionysus, the god of wine and pleasure who made it his mission to spread the gift of vine cultivation, and Homer’s tales of Greek soldiers drinking locally made wine on the eve of the Siege of Troy and you’ll get it!

Medieval City
The medieval town of Rhodes belongs to the World Heritage, it is under protection of UNESCO and considered one of the few best preserved medieval cities in Europe. Let yourself stroll the narrow streets of the Old City. You will fall in love with their multiple character! You will find Turkish Mosques and Jewish Synagogues, ancient library, bathhouses, and lots of shops. All these apart from charming medieval spirit produces unique atmosphere which will not leave you indifferent. You will have enough free time in the Old Town after the tour, you can spend it exploring, shopping, dinning and come back to your ship moored in 5 min by foot or we can take you there or to your hotel if you come to Rhodes by air.

Well-paced tour of Rhodes with Diana
Linda_M, 07-12-2022
We were part of a group from the cruise ship Norwegian Jade that docked in Rhodes, Grece. We were met on the dock by our guide, Diana and driver Vasilis. Diana was very enthusiastic and organized. She was very clear about times for the group to meet back at the bus after free time in Lindos and Rhodes old town. It was evident that she was passionate about her job and very thrilled to have tourists back after the pandemic. We spent time at the beautiful Lindos, climbed to the Acropolis, had a walking tour in the Medieval city, visited Kaminari village, their lunch and wines were excellent!! Throughout the tour, Diana gave us great commentary & colourful insight into the various sights. We felt that the tour was well-paced and we had adequate time at each site. Because of her great organization, we returned to the ship exactly on time. Thank you Diana and Vasilis!

Rhodes is a must to visit for anyone visiting Greece. It's rather big especially comparing it to some other Greek isles, for example Santorini. It's big beautiful and worth booking a guided tour, especially if the guide is as knowledgeable and pleasant as was ours. Rula was amazing! Patient, discerning, knowledgeable on so many levels, art, history, culture, food, linguistics, etc. Do request her in particular if you can. Εfharisto poli - phonetically learnt "THANK YOU VERY MUCH" from Rula
We loved Rhodes!

We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour of Rhodes including wine tasting experience. The schedule was appropriate as to allow us to see a lot in 7 hours. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. It was great to experience all that Rhodes town and its countryside had to offer. Lindos was the gem, we had enough time to explore the village, acropolis and to swim in cosy St. Paul bay. Highly recommended!
Rhodes was the highlight of our cruise

We used Telia in Rhodes. Georgos was a great guide, he changed the order of things to avoid crowds in Lindos. We liked Lindos acropolis and village much. But there is not much to see in the Old town that we visited last . You might want to pass on it unless you like shopping. Wine tasting was not only pleasant but very informative too, unlike the one we had in the touristy corner shop in Santorini. In Rhodes it was professionally provided by the owner of real winery with a huge vineyard. We highly recommend this tour to all those who appreciate good tour quality and service.
Okay tour

Tour was fine but was in a large coach bus. When I booked, it was advertised as a small group tour in a Mini Bus - 19 people max. No indication in tour description that it could be changed to a large bus. Also tour description had a stop at Kritinia Castle.
